Deep-water multi-cargo port
Client: SIMAR PORT LIMITED - Scales: 1/40 and 1/44 (2D) - 1/70 (3D)
The aim of the project is to study the stability of the main breakwater consisting of 3 to 12 m3 Accropode™ armour units and wave transmission study using:
- a wave flume for two typical cross-sections, at 1:40 and 1:44 scales respectively,
- a wave tank for specific zones of the protection breakwater (bends, roundhead) at a scale of 1:70.
The length of the breakwater replicated on the 3D model is 1070 m.
